Need a little from the WIX'ers. I am just about ready to start the the restoration of my C-45F Cockpit now that I have almost everything to put her back together. I only have the later/post-war C-45 Parts and Erection manual...and it does not show the earlier instrument panel.
Question 1: Anyone have the early C-45F Parts and Erection manual? Circa 1943/1944?
Question 2: Can anyone tell me what the 5 smaller instruments are on the lower/right side of the instrument panel?
Question 3: What are the instruments on the bottom left of the lower instrument panel?
Question 4: Anyone know where I can find a pilot/co-pilot seat assy?
and lastly
Question 5: Does anyone have any color photos of the inside of wartime or restored C-45F cockpits (not the later or Navy variants)?
This is the cockpit that I'm just about ready to do:

Thanks!

You may want to get a hold of the Canadian Warplane Heritage who operate one.

The National Air Force Museum of Canada also recently acquired one for restoration.

Hope this helps!

I really need someone with a C-45F Parts and Erection manual. I've seen the above photo before...and one of them is shared on my website.
The top right gauge appears to be: 0/10/20 DE-ICING PRESSURE
The center right gauge appears to be: 0/2/4/6/8/10 XXXXXX FUEL (XXXXXX unreadable in the photo)
The lower right and lower center gauge appears to be: -50/0/50/100/+150 CARB AIR TEMP (CARB MIXTURE)
THE lower left gauge appears to be: 0/100/200/300 OIL PRESSURE AUTOMATIC PILOT
(of which....I do not believe I have any of the above gauges).

Keep the answers coming....please.

How about sending a PM to Taigh? If anyone on WIX knows about Twin Beeches, it's Taigh!

The C-45F is worlds apart from the post war G and H's cockpit wise.

Here is a shot from the -4. The colors were a real cool Army Bronze Green or Dull Dark Green. Awesome contrast to the water transfer decals and black instruments.

Maybe we could do some trading. I think you have a B-24 fuel quantity tube that I could use for our ferry tank for the Howard Super Ventura. I have a lot of early Beech parts and decal and placard sets that will work for your cockpit.

Taigh,
PERFECT! Thanks!!! Can you post a picture of the page that has the instrument names? I sent you a PM with other questions as well.
Unfortunately, I don't have the B-24 collection anymore. I sold my entire project to the Yankee Air Museum a couple of years ago. To fill the heavy bomber gap...I acquired the B-29 "BTO" cockpt....of which I am also looking for some parts to finish her as well! :)

With Taigh's lead, I was able to find a copy of the Pilot's Flight Operating Instruction Manual.
This a photo of my cockpit, C-45F 43-35764, Accepted May 11th 1944, Delivered June 24, 1944.
Image
This is a page from AN 01-90CD-1 UC-45B, Dated 30 MAY 1944. What is interesting is when you zoom in on the page, the radio call/serial number for the aircraft instrument panel is 335XXX (XXX is hard to read), which is the same block of delivery as my aircraft.
Image
One gauge that I didn't know I needed was #26 Free Air Temp Gauge.

I would still like to know the exact gauge type or model number so I can try to find the ones I am missing for this restoration.
I am missing #16 De-Icing Pressure Gauge, #31 Fuel Level Gauge, #30 (x2) Carb Mixture Temp Gauge, #28 Oil Pressure Automatic Pilot, #26 Free Air Temp (Large) and #15 Fuel/Air Ratio Gauge.
