Historic Aviation Memorial Museum - Tyler, TX

With the Collings Foundation visit to the Historic Aviation Memorial Museum here in Tyler, TX, I was finally able to get out there and take photos of the aircraft that they currently have on display outside. They are not the best of photos and I only took one of each aircraft to show what is there. If someone wants or needs more photos of any particular aircraft, I'd be more than happy to go back out there and take additional photos.

Nice! There in fairly good condition too. These are all still government owned? Would be nice to see a flying museum with a line up like this!

I spent the day in Tyler on Monday. Fantastic weather for a flying event! My first trip to the museum, they have a nice little collection, and looks like several more in the works - noticed a Skyraider and what looked like a Panther and maybe a radial engine copter across the way by their hanger...

I couldn't spare the cash to go for a ride, but I joined the museum, bought a new Nine-O-Nine cap and toured the aircraft. Waited in line for the B-24 with a WWII B-29 gunner and his wife. Fantastic day.

Hope the rest of the tour goes well!

The ride in the B-24 was awesome. I'm definitely planning on joining the museum and volunteering now that I have more free time on the weekends.
