Does Salt Lake City have any airshows, or any cities directly around it?

I know Wendover,Ut has a show, but looking for other Utah air shows?

Thanks

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

S: Took hammer away from midget.

If i remember correctly the HAFB show was scheduled for this year, but has been canceled. Last time they put together a real nice civilian fly-in the morning of the show.

noizeedave,

I actually organize the Wendover show - as far as I know, the only other show in the wasatch front area in 2008 (other than Wendover :D ) is the Utah CAF event at the Heber airport - and I have not heard if that is confirmed or not.

Hill AFB cancelled this year as they did not get a jet team and I think they are going back to the one on one off schedule as well.

There has not been nor will there be an airshow in the Salt Lake Valley again - too much traffic and too much building up of the area has made a safe aerobatic box an impossibility. Not that folks wouldn't support it - Hill usually gets 100K+ and I think you'd get that in SLC even with a gate fee. Oh well - just come out to Wendover and have a great time with us!

Also, Wendover hosts the Classic Jet Aircraft Assoc. "Jet Blast" - a low profile event - not really a public event but not a "closed" thing either - we usually get about 10-15 ex-military jets from Sabres to Provosts (even a few Alpha jets!!) There is an event this year in August (hot I know) but no firm date yet.

If I hear about anything in Utah (Richfield, Nephi or anywhere else) I'll let you know if you would like.
