The 345th had an outstanding record overseas!!.. Here's some info I do believe needs to be said though.. The first Strafer conversions were done on the 3rd Attack Group 89th Sqdn A-20's in the mid/late summer of 42', by Pappy Gunn. Along with the 50 cal mod, the bombays were modified to carry parafrags. This combo was first used in late August of 42' by the 89th on a mission to Lae, with Don Hall leading the way. That success led to the start of the B-25 mods in Dec of 42'.. Either "PAPPY'S FOLLY" 41-12437, or "MARGARET", 41-29946, was the original test bed for the -25's. The Battle of the Bismarck Sea proved their worth....

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

S: Took hammer away from midget.
