Short funny story of this T-33. I remember many years ago the owner of this a/c used to fly to and from Bridgeport and Palm Beach, when he ask us to fill her up, he would always say get every drop you can in it.I guess he was ok on the way down, but on the way back he said he was running on"fumes".I talked with someone in the tower once and they said he would maintain his altitude til he was almost on top of the airport,but the funny part was his dog that went on his trips. He had a little cap and mask made for him and when he would taxi out the dog would just look at you like, look at that idiot. Guess you had to be there.
