Today when I was reading the MSN hot topics of the day their is a photo and a story on the Lockhead/ Martin F-35 Lighting II ! Looks like their is going to be new Warbird added to the Ranks of Classics but not too soon. :wink:

Well with the F-22 and F-35 coming in, the USAF is retiring the F-117 Stealth Fighter. We can now add it to the out of service war birds....

The F-35 is being 'fast tracked to deployment' over a planned 140 months, don't hurry any now L/M. And it'll only cost around $1 TRILLION over the life of the contract and thats before L/M starts adding $9000.00 toilet seats and anti wing flapping software and all the other things Lockweed 'forgets' to add into the initial bid for whatever they are bidding to get. :x
It only took about 15 years to get the friggin' F-22 numbers built above three or so-then your government decides to order aircraft in groups of two and three per contract to 'keep the lines running' and keep the price per unit artificially high fo' mo' profit- :roll:
