Fri Mar 07, 2008 10:49 pm

This Month's Air Classics features a full page ad for Mitsubishi Zero c/n 3858 for sale for a cool $1.9M.
75h TT much of it (55h) filming crowd favorite Pearl Harbor.
It is not mine (unless I have the winning $200M Powerball #'s), but if you feel the need to scratch that Mitsubishi itch contact:

That is not all-
It comes with original Nakajima Sakae engine and prop (unrestored) on a display stand.

A lot of money for a replica with a DC-3 engine ..................

Makes you wonder what the real one at Chino is worth.

I agree. It will never sell, because it isn't worth that much. At least the owner is putting it up for sale, though. That airplane RARELY flies, but hopefully we will see it more often now.

I remember when the MOF/Flight Magic Zeros were offered for sale back in the 90's. I believe they were selling them for about $700 to $ 750 thousand dollars. Now, $1.9 Million - uh, yea, right! :D

It's a nice airplane and I would love to have it, but it will never sell. Maybe a real one might, but not that one. Other "real" Zero's have sold for sustantially less in the past, so I just don't think there is much demand for a replica Zero.
