I was taking a look at the F-82 page of wikipedia and I noticed this text:

"The aircraft was restorable but its unique props and landing gear were destroyed in the crash and replacement parts could not be obtained. In 2002, the CAF included it with a crashed P-38 in a trade for a flyable P-38. The USAF stepped in and demanded the F-82 be returned since it was only loaned to the CAF on the condition that the CAF keep it. The matter has now been resolved in favour of the Commemorative Air Force (the renamed organization)."

It was last edited on Feb 24, 2008.

So it got me to thinking:

1. Is this public knowledge that it has been resolved and I wasn't paying attention?

2. Does the person who wrote that know something we don't?

3. Is this just BS and an inaccuracy due to the nature of wiki?

Ryan, the matter is still not resolved. The matter will be resolved later this year in Ohio, in court. Search on the site for further info... Alan

As I suspected the wacki-wiki-world www was inaccurate. I do remember the old thread regarding this and that was the first place I checked when Iread that but thought I may have missed something.

Thank you,
Ryan

Yeah if you go on Wikipedia and search Ambridge, PA it lists me as a famous resident after a drunk friend thought it would be funny to put me in there as a Goaltender for the Penguins.
