I imagine to a selected few, in that country, this is a significant find :D , and to most, just additional junk. :( ...we'll just have to see... 8) .

I wonder if there might be crew remains to be recovered. Since the engine was buried, I assume it was a pretty high impact crash.

Well there is a rather decent movement of individuals in Budapest resurrecting rare (and in some cases very rare) aircraft back to flying condition so there is a good chance it will get the proper recognition and treatment.


I actually had the opportunity to fly in both of these amazing machines. Both were beautifully restored.

'd love to go back. There was a glider operation up around Fulda that used a Storch as a glider tug...
