Looks like the first P-47 knocked the rudders and vert, fins off the a/c on the ground....and the one the gun camera pics are coming from....classic daisey-cutting.....by the way, exactly what kind of a/c is that with the twin rudders?

Another question, is I notice a White sheet with an X on it, is that a target for practice or was this a live run?

I've searched every book I've got and can't find anything that fits that picture. Can't find anything with that "canted" horizontal stabilizer and those stubby verticals.

Somebody ID that sucker, please.

Mudge the bleary eyed. :shock:

Paul...that "sheet" appears to be some sort of a sign. It looks to me as though the legs of the "X" protrude beyond the corners of the white thing.
