In 1972 over NorthVietnam, a USN A-6 intruder was doing a bomb run mission and flying around and they got a strobe on their ECM gear... it didnt go away, next they noticed 2 missiles fly past..

They thought Migs but as they were in voice with 7th AF controllers turned out USAF x 2 F-4D Phantoms thought the poor A-6s were kills and shot.. the F-4 Phantom crews got a big chew off from HQ im told.

Scary stuff.

I have noticed many of your posts and have to comment on them.

Your not sharing anything on here worth value of anything other than passing on a supposed story from someone who probably didn't even fly in Vietnam.

This is a WIX board, not a place for you to post links to stupid crap from another website and hear say bull.

If you are going to write about this incident, it would have been better with
1. Aircraft Serial# information
2. Actual locations and information on the incident
3. Squadrons, names and other information on the pilots and AIRCRAFT
4. Interesting

I am not one to usually pipe up, but dude, your posting have no merit in even being placed on this board. This is posting is so unclear, and not even important other than hear-say bull from some guy who obviously has you so google eyed about Vietnam your forgetting that THIS IS AN WARBIRD board not a personal BLOG about your so-called passing of stories.

If you want to share your unimportant events and information, start your own BLOG and stay out of WIX.

Can you substantiate these claims, or are you just blowing wind thru your keyboard?
