Was that taken recently?

Love the inertia starter. I had one of those on my Stearman.

Yeah Glenn,

Is your Grandpa thinking of taking it to Geneseo?

As a P-40 owner I once knew used to say, " you can't ship a Merlin as far as you can fly an Allison"

Sorry to ruin all your hopes and dreams, but the Maude P-40E will stay where it is on Vancouver Island. The family doesn't want to risk anything happening to our "Baby"..

Due to the age of the P-40 and past aviation technology of its time, it would cost a fair amount of money and a ton of work to remove the original materials and fit it with new up to date materials.. if I'm correct.

The Maude family would rather keep the plane in the best shape as possible. :)
