Wow, look at the fuselage above the national insignia. Is that blur from the heat and/or other camera phenom ... or is it possible its actually wrinkled from rapid thermo-expansion from the fire?? Either way, not a place I'd like to be!

hmmmn, so that's what happens when you use an aircraft engine & propeller to fan a full drop tank worth of hi-test av gas over hot exhaust stubs; mobile blast furnace......

the heat must have been unbelievably intense for the pilot, I'm glad he got out ok. He must have felt like a bbq hotdog for a few moments there....
