I was wondering about the probable duration of the two 1800 PSI oxygen bottles of a OV-1D Mohawk. Would you have a duration chart?
Any lead to get two new MBU-12/P at a decent price?
Cheers.

Phil, I don't think you can get new reasonable. But you can usually get some fairly new ones for a reasonable price on Ebay.

If you are talking about the Bailout Bottles at 1800 PSI, they last approximately 10 minutes, they can last a little bit longer or go quicker. We teach our aircrews that they last 10 minutes, bottom line.

Digging in this gold mine, I found what I was looking for (Oxygen duration tables): www.tpub.com/content/aviationmaintandmisc/TM-55-1510-215-10/TM-55-1510-215-100064.htm
RickH: thanks for the link, flighthelmet.com is indeed offering MBU-12/P's at a cheaper price than Gentex direct.
