This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

"you just don't get it do you"
no offense of course but those of us who have served get it in spades.

Beg pardon? "Those of us who served"? Don't get on your soapbox here. Let there be no doubt in your mind, I did mine and I STILL don't get it. A bunch of sailors jumpin' around to some MTV noise.

Why do deployments cause break-ups? Very bittersweet moments- once for me in training at Fort Benning, and once on the way from Fort Bragg to somewhere else. Great song, like the video. Looks like they had a great time making the video- obviously a lot of time put into it.

This is my old squadron VAW116 flying the mighty Hawkeye, I was in Desert Storm with this group onboard the USS Ranger in the Persian Gulf, Mudge unless you've been on a 6-8 month deployment on a carrier working 12 hr shifts it's a good way to break up the daily routine and monantany. a little humor keeps the troops on the up and up, plus this video is sent home to the families which they really love

Don't get me wrong. I do, in fact, have a sense of humor. Maybe I'm just the wrong generation. You know, if it ain't Miller, Goodman, Dorsey, et al, I don't care for it.

to me it shows that the morale is HIGH despite what our news media says. That series of vids from the Sun Kings made me want to be back aboard so bad it hurts! Id even ship out as a janitor if they would take me. Or they could bring back my old F-4!!!

n5151ts....WHAT?
I know what you're talking about but what does it have to do with the fact that I, as many of us here, served (are serving) in the military? We did/do our JOBS. I don't, as you seem to do, consider myself any kind of "hero" for doing MY JOB.
How many traps have I made? Climb down off your pedestal!

'Hookers always make it about that.
The next time the winner of a war is determined by how well you land on a boat, the US Navy is really gonna kick @$$.
Clever video, anyway.

I have friends in that unit and in another unit that made vides. That one is VAW-113. This is what keeps the morale up for these soldiers. This is their Glen Miller. These movies are important. More important than watching the joke of a news coverage we have here.
