Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

N3N Jeff,

There is a set of unrestored wings at the Sports Flyers (a.k.a. the Brookshire International Air and Spaceport), Brookshire, TX.

The fuse is being restored elsewhere in the greater Houston area.

I know of an N3N fuselage in Houston, but let me ask the owner if I can post the location.

Saludos,

Tulio

Thanks, If you can post a pic and the bureau number, I would appreciate. I just got a big step foreward from another N3N owner with a bunch of pics on CD. Some good duster stuff too.

Thanks

Have you tried the FAA registry? No pictures there obviously, but might give you the idea of the identities.

N44742 2783 NAVAL AIRCRAFT FACTORY N3N-3 NICHOLS CHARLES F
N44757 2621 NAVAL AIRCRAFT FACTORY N3N-3 NICHOLS CHARLES F
N44837 4484 NAVAL AIRCRAFT FACTORY N3N-3 NICHOLS CHARLES F

N45070 2804 NAVAL AIRCRAFT FACTORY N3N-3 NICHOLS CHARLES F

You might also PM Cindy as POF appears to have just started on 1-1/2 N3N projects.

Yea I started working off the Faa list. But what I need is a pic of each one and if they can tell me which airframe is which. BTW, you forgot 4480.

I believe the pile of N3Ns at Yanks were moved when the new hangar was started a couple of years back. Does anyone know where they went?

Yanks is moving some stuff around now since some of their old hangar leases are expiring. They have moved a bunch of stuff into storage in the old Edison hangar (immediately north of their present location) where I photographed their PBY a few weeks ago. They could be in there.

Way to go Swiss!!!!!!!!! Thats a new one to me. Looks like it might have been taken in the late 60's or early 70's. She is in the late 50'paint but what threw me for a curve is that she still retains the 30x5 bendix wheels. So she may have not been fresh from annapolis. But probably a rare one that did not see a duster lifestyle. She is not registered in my roster printed from the early 90's but is on my one printed in 06. So she is probably flying in another paint job. I only know of 2 painted in that scheme today and we are one :)

Got this from a fellow N3N owner.
N9611 is still owned by Matt and it is parked in a hanger at Camarillo,
Ca. where it has been since 1980. He purchased it in 1973 for $7,000 as
a stock flying N with the Wright engine and originial cover from a
fellow that got it surplus. The aircraft was recovered in 1980 and
repainted stock yellow. Never a duster/sprayer and a good clean stock
airplane. It has only flown about 260 hrs. in the last 40 years+-. He
currently resides in CA. and would sell the airplane. I think he
mentioned 80K. Hope this brings everyone up to date. Later, Paul
