Too bad that was an Aero Union P-3. Had it been a DC-6 we could've blamed it all on Larry's wicked sense of humor. :)

I'm not sure that's a P-3 - does not sound like turbine either...

Larry, you ready to fess up :-)

Enjoy the Day! Mark

The plane making the second drop is an S-2. Hard to get a clear view of he first tanker but it looks bigger than the S-2. could be a P-3.

Larry flies a DC-7.

There's a commercial playing a lot lately for a mortgage company that starts out with a voiceover saying, "People are smart . . ."

Umm. No – they're not. I'm sure the tanker pilots don't appreciate having this bozo stand in the line.

First aircraft looks like a DC-4 to me. Second plane is an S-2

Yeah, it is a Doug. I blew up a screen capture and what I thought was a stinger is really the horizontal stab. I originally thought it was a Doug but the "tail stinger" got me.

BTW, the second aircraft is most definitely an S-2T FireCat. :)

I don't know, guys.I've looked at the video several times and can't be sure.If the date is really 2006,then  I'm off the hook.If the drop took place up to the end of the 2003 season,I could have been in Southern California.Tanker 62 has a distinctively marked tail. It's the only Doug with red trim that has the number in a block that has white above it.Everyone else had a solid red tail.I'll post a few pictures of Tanker 62 and one of DC-4 Tanker 15.
