I have taken the Iowa section of the Locator as far as I can, so I turn it over to you...

http://www.aerialvisuals.ca/Locator.php?Region=IA

Below this message I am including the “Need Help List”. It is just a list of Items I need assistance with to make the data more complete, and the complete listing may be found via the link above. The “Need Help List” is based on the locations in the Locator with the big red + signs. If you have any info to contribute just click the red + and you will be taken to a form where many of the fields will already be filled out but you can also provide corrections and/or new information. You can also post here if you would like.

I am looking forward to any assistance you may be able to provide.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

EDIT: The "Need Help List" has been moved to my most recent post.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Re. #6, the UH-1 is actually located several miles east of Columbus Junction, at the intersection of highways US-61 and IA-92, which is just outside of the town of Grandview.

Re. #15, I'll be traveling in the vicinity of Manchester in the next couple of weeks so I'll look into the possible AH-1.

Also, the entry for the F-86 at Coralville is actually a duplicate for the Iowa City F-86 (which is a D model, BTW).

It turns out I already have that one in the Locator. Thanks for clearing that up.

Thanks in advance for looking into it. It might be worth assuming it could also be at a VFW or Legion post. I extract info from various sources and sometimes they get these organizations confused.

I visited #15 Manchester, unfortunately I was not able to find either the AH-1 or a VFW location (appears the VFW meets at borrowed facilites in Manchester, the address given on the city website is a private home). Also checked the local airport with no luck. I'll look into this further when I have more time. Sorry -

Thanks for extra effort. I am curious to know what the address is of the private residance to compare to the approximate location on the map. If the two are one and the same I will adjust the error level of the map reference.
