Hey there everyone.

Bringing my C130 to Battle Creek, Mi and Des Moines, Iowa this weekend. Anyone know of any warbirds to check out or photgraph out there?

If so anyone want me to bring some trading materials? If so hurry quick, i leave in the morning and will have to go by hanger.

Check on Tim "Dawg" Brutsche's L-39 while in BC – he is lead of the Grasshopers L-39 team. T-34 on same airfield.

I think that there are some gate guards at the base in Battle Creek. I would like to see them.

I don't have anything in the Locator for Battle Creek, however, there are some listings for Des Moines...

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

There are no longer an gate guards at Battle Creek. I know they did have an F-86 and B-57 at different times, but they are no longer there. WACO Classic Aircraft might be worth checking out there though.

Based at Waukesha WI near Milwaukee, but you never know, he might be visiting friends/relatives in IA.

No warbirds here in Battle Creek that I'm aware of. But if you've got a little time (and access to a vehicle) the Kalamazoo Air Zoo is just 20 minutes up I-94..one of the best warbird collections in the midwest.

The last gate guard at the ANG base was an RB-57 onna stick..it was sent to the Yankee Air Museum in the early '90s.

I live right under the Battle Creek approach pattern..I'll keep an eye peeled for a Herky-Bird! 8)
