Looks like a Culver PQ-8. Always been a fan of the little PQ's.

Pq-14 is one of my favorites! I was so glad to hear about the CAF getting one

Didn't BDK have a Culver for sale a few years ago?

Yup. Left my stewardship over a year ago. Model LFA.

Actually it may be a PQ-8A. The PQ-8 had a smaller tail. THis airplane was an adaptation of the prewar Culver Cadet and had a 90 hp. Franklin.
They are supposed to be extinct, but if you wanted to be the first kid on the block with a one of a kind warbird you could buy a Helton Lark and deconvert it back into the PQ-8A . THere are a half a dozen or so Larks still on the registry in the standard category.
The PQ-8A, unlike the more powerful and faster PQ-14's is a two seater. WOuld be a fun warbird, IMHO. Both the Army Air Corps and Navy used them.

Thanx..and I'd like to add, I like how you think, Suh! We don't really own neat old stuff,
we sometimes just have the good fortune to rent them awhile before we pass 'em on.
