I don't know if this has been brought up recently, but there seems to be a new network on T.V. called American Life T.V. and they show classis shows from the good 'ol days.

Among the shows is 12 O'Clock High, Combat and The Rat Patrol.

They have a website up at http://www.goodtv.com/

All they need now is Black Sheep and life is complete!

Got me hummin' the theme tunes. I got "Combat"s tune down. Remember the grainy dot-matrix looking explosions on the opener?
Who remembers "Battlefield" ? We saw it on Friday nights for a couple of years about 1964-66-ish.

Don't get Me started on Theme Songs...
Some folks collect Antique Cars, Fine Wine & Rare Stamps. ME?? I collect Old TV Show Theme Songs.
Hey!! They're Free...

Warning!! Some of these songs can be Dangerous!!

The 2 Songs I can never get outta' My Head once I hear them are the theme song from "S.W.A.T." & the theme from "KIMBA The White Lion" ...
I remember once back in 1973 I couldn't get that DARN "KIMBA" Song outta' My Head for almost a week. I almost had to go to a Doctor & have a hole drilled into My skull to let it out...

Here's some of My Favorite TV Show Theme Songs.
Again, Be Careful with "S.W.A.T." & "KIMBA" ... They may be habit forming....

S.W.A.T.
I finally got to drive a Blue SWAT Truck just like this one in the USAF. It was kinda boring though...
Just up & down the Flightline all day. I never got issued an M16 & never got to jump through any Glass Windows either. Why didn't He just use the Door??

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUJu17fAnKU

KIMBA The White Lion
Did You ever notice KIMBA & His Pals always had bandages on after a big fight?? Ha! Ha! Who bandaged them up??
I always hated KIMBA & prayed it would die a horrible death:

RAT PATROL

COMBAT!
Actor Rick Jason shot Himself in the Head...
I think it was the KIMBA Theme Song drove that Him crazy...

Whistlin' 'Combat" right now. Boom! Boom! Rick Jason-Rat Patrol??? Wasnt' he Lt. Hanley in Combat?
Johnny Quest rocked! I like the episode when they crash the weird airplane in the mountains somewhere and find an old German pilot with two WWI airlplanes and he b.s es Race Bannon into flying the SPAD, Nieuport or whatever into a dogfight.

Back in High School We would draw dirty XXX-Rated versions of "Johnny Quest" in Study Hall.
Usually, Mary Ann & Ginger suddenly joined the cast. Ha! Ha! One kid was an amazing artist & was dead on accurate.

They used to call them "Tijuana Bibles":

Even Bandit the Dog got in on the action. I wish I still had a few!! I could probably make a fortune selling them on
E Bay... Digger

Rat Patrol was cool. If you look at that clip you can see a few things, The guns in the scabbards on the Jeeps are NOT THompsons. I've watched a bunch of episodes and they eventually get Thompsons, but you look at them and don't have a clue what they are.

When they pull the muzzle cover off the 50s, you can see they were "blanked" so they will function with blanks since there is a LITTLE HOLE there instead of THE BIG HOLE hole.

Last, this wasn't one, but in the first few episodes, when they "fly" the jeeps over the sand dune, the gunner on the second jeep, flys up in the air, manages to hang onto the spades on the 50 and then takes it in the chest with the spades. Man I'll bet that really hurt.
