Hi Paul,

I think I sent you a photo of the same a/c about a year or so ago. It was located just east of the Salt Lake City airport. It was displayed until around 1976 when it was sold for $2,000.00 it changed hands and ended up with the C.A. F. and was recently destroyed in a fatal accident. The BT-13 was placed on top of Evans BT-13 service/ Evans welding shortly after WW2. I saw this a/c many times as a young kid and bugged the he!! out of my dad to stop in and see it, it happened once but we couldnt get out of the car. It was complete less engine prop and instruments. It was a great piece of Americana, the building is still there,if you put up a static BT back up there it would sure make a cool resturant/bar

Thanks Mike

Do you send me a hard copy of that photo in the mail?

My brain has been really messed up this last year from the stomach cancer treatments and all the meds and such.

Sorry, I cannot remember, I do have them though!

The photo I have was posted here on a earlier post about gas station warbirds maybe someone can post a link to it. I hope you get well soon.

If that airplane in the picture is actually the one assigned to the West Houston Squadron, then yes it is still with us and running strong.

Mike, the reg number for the West Houston Sqdn BT is N-27003. I do not have a tie in for the sn, but Landings.com lists a cn or sn as "5017". HTH, Alan

If someone doesn't beat me to it, I'll find out the story.

Wouldn't that be cool to get a flight in the same A/C that interested you as a young kid!!!
