nice - back in the days when the US had a REAL air force and colour and many types.

Nowdays its a former shadow of it self.

The USAF cant buy and maintain the current stuff it has and is falling behind.

Avg aircraft age is 24years old!!!

To repalce some thing they need $billions..
The F-35 alone is $300bn maybe overall.
The new tankers is $10bn +.

In USAFE they have C-130E Hercules they cant fly due to fatigue and cracks and YET these have to reamin operational somehow to use in Middle East shuttle runs.

The USAF has got major problems. The 1960-80s seems like the heavenly years looking back.. everything was near new, worked as advertised nearly and had no restrictions on flying /fatigue.

Sigh...
