That'd be Fred Johnsen, the author and noted Liberator/Privateer expert. He was up in Washington for many years, but had relocated to California several years ago for work.
I'd bumped into him quite by accident at Carl Scholl's storage facility in the desert and there was no amount of talking I could do to even make him think about parting with the piece, as it was a personal and very special part of his collection. I assume he's still got it tucked away and is still searching for pieces to complete it. I've got a D model greenhouse and several feet of bombardier and navigator's nose section that came off of an early "A" and suggested we ought to join forces and combine both pieces for a an even bigger display. Or build a -4Y nose section with one of the ErCo ball turrets here. Perhaps some day this might happen!
His cockpit is from a -4Y, though I cannot recall the USN BuNo. off hand. Really a neat piece, and one of the nicest guys you'd wanna meet and talk Consolidated products with.
Hope this helps.
