Announcing Grasshopper Gathering 2008

Tue Dec 18, 2007 4:47 pm

As some of you know, the Alamo Liaison Squadron hosts our annual Bluebonnet Picnic and Fly-in in the spring. We traditionally hold a flour bombing and spot landing contest, and do an L-bird demo.
This year we are hoping to combine it with a Grasshopper Gathering. We'd like to invite as many L-bird pilots who would be interested in coming, to come on down to San Antonio for an L-bird gathering. Any suggestions for the event are welcome! I'm hoping to get some L-bird veterans to come to the event if I can round them up.
Here's a banner for the event:

Hope some of you will consider coming!

Howdy Ryan, we've passed the word along to all CAF L-birds, so hopefully you'll get some additional participants at your event. :D

That's great! It was good to see the Highland Lakes L-4 from Burnet at our event the first weekend of December. That plane's got some serious memories for me. My first taildragger ride was in it at New Braunfels, TX. That was the second flight in my logbook, and also just hours before the Cessna 172 crash that my family and I saw.
The L-4 flight was a blast.

Man, I know grasshoppers are a bit slow, but holding the 2008 event in 2007?

:)

Aargh! Whaddaya mean?
Seriously... Trying to study for the commercial license, and taking breaks at 11 pm doesn't help.
