I'm wondering whether there are other Forums like WIX out there in cyberspace? I've been only involved with WIX, but I also see this "Aviation Forum" as well, how many of you are involved with other forums like WIX? And not to be biased, but what forum is considered the best? i.e. ... the grand daddy of em all ... I'm sure it's WIX ... lolol,

Also how the H*LL would anyone have time for any other forum other than WIX? ... this strange world takes up way too much of my time already ... lololol .... BUT no complaints .... :D

I believe WIX was the result of Scott resurrecting the remains of the excellent Warbird's Worldwide Forum when that magazine folded. Therefore, WIX is the second generation greatest warbird forum IMHO  .

The Flypast Magazine site has good forums and their warbird forum covers the UK and European scene well (North America is covered also). A rebellious contingent from Flypast set up the excellent Plane Talk site which also covers the UK and Europe especially well. Many of the Plane Talk blokes contribute to WIX also.

Although they're more geared towards air racing than warbirds as such.

http://www.warbirdz.net is the premier warbird forum in Oz. Drop in occasionally ... you might find some familiar names.

The Planes of Fame message board used to be really awesome when it first opened up. The big players from them such as Hinton, Fahey, and Foster all used to post on it quite frequently. It would be THE place to get a very detailed answer straight from Steve Hinton's mouth. It pretty much now sucks with usually nobody making any posts for several months in most of the sub-forums. I don't know what happened, but it's pretty much dead now, so I don't even waste my time.

Thanks, Jeff. I don't think it was so much of a rebellion, it was more a matter of being fed up with the way things were run so we decided to save what was left of the community spirit and took it elsewhere.

Yeah that was great, it just died, no real reason. Chris was especially hilarious with some of his replies.
