Identify my whereabouts???

Sun Dec 09, 2007 10:32 pm

I'm more of a lurker than a poster around here. I've been scanning a bunch of old airshow photos dating back to the early 80's and have been wondering where some of these planes are now. Enjoy the pics and if you can help i'd appreciate it.

Oshkosh 1992 had three Storch's show up. Where are they now???

The B-17 appears to be the Evergreen example which is now on display at their facility in McMinnville, Oregon.

The B-25 I believe is now "Miss Hap" and is on display at the American Airpower Museum in Farmingdale, NY.

I am pretty sure that one of the three Storches (the examples restored by Jan Muller) went to the Collings Foundation... another went to Kermit Weeks.

I'd be interested in knowing where the A-26 that was with the CWH went after it was sold off.

I think that blue Tail A-26 was owned by Jerry Janes at the time. Not sure where it is now.

The A-26 with yellow stripes on cowlings and tail has been with Connie Edwards, John Stokes, and Wally Fisk over the years. It is currently with Jack Erickson in Oregon.

The A-26 with French roundels and the one with blue tail and #13 is the same a/c. Bought from Conair in B.C. by the Reynolds Museum in ALB. Later sold off and currently owned by David Lane. I think the plane resides in San Diego for the moment. Didn't Jerry Janes own the other A-26 with blue tail and #21 as shown in the photo of the Harpoon?

I know there were two Fat Cat's. Fat Cat, which definately burned at Conroe, and was polished silver. The second, was this all blue one named Fat Cat Too. She was at several WOH's and was an extrememly stock restoration. Last I heard of her, someone had inadvertantly pulled the gear on take-off. Then I heard of some drug issues and she disappeared from there.
