Another great pic, Jack!

The aircraft in the foreground looks a lot like "Yankee Lady." 8) I't looks like it has an Olive Drab rudder, but it may just be the angle of the light, and the contrast of silver doped fabric against shiny metal. It could also by the type of film..the vertical stab is red, but you can barely tell.

It appears a censor attempted to partially block out the contrails for some reason. Maybe the government's secret "chem-trail" program began far earlier than we thought...

Great Pic !

Actually, I think the ship is the 534th BS #44-6173 "Miss Florala" (GD*H). It was the Group's last plane lost in action,....it went down on April 8th 1945 on mission to Stendahl with Lt. Adelmeyer as pilot. 6KIA, 2RTD
