Warbird Information Exchange

Since I am always trying to come up with interesting topics to post:

What are generally the most interesting posts here on WIX? Restorations, history, mechanical questions, Museums, airshows, photos? .. etc, etc.

is there anything that stands out above all the rest? I'd really like to know what generally gets everyone's interest more than other topics.

Maybe we should have a poll of some sort.

Well the CAF B-24 and PBJ restoration posts seem to have many more pages than most.

Yeah, but those are sort of like...Air. They're not really threads any longer but a sort of institution!

I think the threads I like the most are the ones where I find out more about the history of warbirds. I keep wishing somebody would crank up a whopper about the old Buffalo. It did fantastic at times, and awful at others. And the P39. I always loved that one. I would really lke to know more about it. The technical aspects just lose me cause I am not a member of the cult, but I enjoy reading them anyway. And all the piccies in the world baby! We should start a fora just to stoe all those pics in, so I can sort of look, glaze eyed, for hours! Jack Cook and his ilk belong in a catagory all their own!

What do I hate? politics. Mostly because it very quickly, if not imediatly, turns into an insult fest and I have trouble refraining and looking like a jrk.

Personally I like the modern era recovery and restoration photos the most. I'm really more into the mechanical end of the game I guess. Some of the period and factory photos are interesting as well because of the details. As far as battles, strategies and people photos (I end up looking at the canopy tracks and rollers instead of the faces or uniforms!), I'm not so interested. Some of the people stories are intereresting on occasion- I really found the B-25 drug running story especially fascinating.

I doubt that I am the "average" WIXer though. My interests are probably not shared by many.
