I don't know what you've all heard of the flooding in the WA State area.
Tuesday saw the Olympia Airport turned into what seemed to be the base of air operations for emergency services. The airport was packed with Coastguard, Army and Navy rescue as well as news helicopters. The Army even set up mobile tankers as a refueling station.

For the first time ever during the winter, the Washington State Department of Natural Resources pulled out all available helicopters (UH-1s and Cobras) for the emergency. All government agencies seemed to be involved including State Patrol and even Fish and Wildlife aircraft.

Northwest Helicopters was involved (Brian "Mustangpilot", I heard you out there. How'd you guys do?) with multiple helicopters.

I just wanted to bring this up to give props to the guys from NAS Whidbey Island SAR who it was my privilege to personally refuel and take care of every time they stopped in. At least 21 rescues that I was informed of. Great Job Guys. http://www.naswi.navy.mil/ops/SAR/

I also didn't want to let Brian off the hook. Him and his birds were very busy.

The new stated that 300 people in all were rescued by helicopter alone over the last two days.

Great work to all involved.
