Donald Bryan leads a group of P-51s escorting B-24 bombers to their target deep inside of Germany when he runs into a huge gaggle of Me109s on the attack. On June 23, 1945, Second Lieutenant Bob Scamara takes off with a flight of Mustangs from Iwo Jima. His group is jumped by seventeen Zeroes. On April 7, 1945, pilot Richard Candelaria becomes one of the first Americans to face the jet menace. I recently saw a docu on The History Channel and the guy narrating said that in WWII, the pilots flying Hellcats had the greater number of kills in the Pacific.
Does anyone have the correct numbers by type of planes ??.

It has only come back because of the History Channel's bumbling around trying to find a time slot to put it in. Don't rest on your laurels, as this is just the rest of the completed season 2 episodes. Most people associated with the show have said there will probably NOT be a season 3. So, this is probably it folks. Now write those letters and e-mails to the History Channel and demand a season 3! We owe it to the vets for them to be able to tell their stories of courage, heroism and sacrifice.
