Norbert Ruff P-38 "Ruff Stuff"

Sun Nov 25, 2007 12:38 pm

On Saturday, Mark Ruff's Father, Norbert Ruff suffered a stroke while deer hunting. Presently, Norb is hospitalized at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire in Critical Care Unit. Mark flew back from Arizona and is with his Father. Steve

I recieved this E-mail just a few minutes ago from Steve Stokke, who works for Mark Ruff, Norb's son.

I wish the best to Norb and his family they have become good friends of ours.

Yes, thanks for posting, Erik; and keep us updated on his progress if you're able.

His presentation at OSH this year was amazing--especially the part about the "fun" his fellow Airacobra pilots and he had releasing the doors during flight.

I cooresponded with him quite a bit a few years back.

Truly a "good guy".
Especially enjoyed his stories about transitioning to P38's and interpreting/understanding his ground "training" when landing for the first time.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery Norb.
