This Invader belongs to Howard Keck out of Van Nuys Ca. My dad and I did much of the metel work on it during the restoration in 92-93.

WOW ! The only Invader I have ever seen that polished is the last Invader in service. It was a VIP bird flying with SAC. It now resides at the SAC Museum, Omaha. It was delivered by the AF to the museum in 1969.

Great Googly-Moogly! Lets give a big hand to the employees or vols or whoever did that polish job! How many palletts of cases Mother's Mag & Al. Polish and white towels did THAT job take? Or did some mega-hig-roller have the whole darn thing chromed? WOW!

Odd that it looks very "civilan-ized" yet has a bomber nose and gun turret. Any details out there on this?

It was an On-Mark conversion, as I recall it had a nose on it like the A26 that is listed with Courtesy when they started the project, I will ask my dad if he can give me more infomation.

Howard Keck owns two A-26's, actually. The On-Mark conversion is N26HK, while the one in the photos is an unmolested bomber that Matt Jackson rebuilt.

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

S: Took hammer away from midget.
