Midwest Texans

Saw where ANN did a blurb on Midwest today. Unfortunately they managed to move their location by over a thousand miles and rename Tim in the process. And that's inspite of having a direct link to the website and the magazine. Guess the proofreaders were at supper

On the serious side....glad to see you guys get some press, and it's great that you guys are able to expand as much as you are.

MNF Breitling ad.

Anyone else catch the Breitling ad on Monday Night Football? Some nice Reno video.

Interesting article. Unfortunately it appears that all ANN does is troll other news sources and grab their articles. This was a paraprashed article that appeared in our local newspaper and wasn't exactly accurate. No one contacted us for comment before this was published in an ANN article. After this personal experience I would consider anything published by this outfit suspect.

ANN does a good job at keeping information about all aspects of the aviation industry flowing into email boxes on a daily basis. The sheer amount of copy that they are responsible for each day is pretty amazing. That said, they do indeed cut corners with some of their stories due to the small staff. I think that warbird related stories can run hot and cold at times since no one on the staff currently specializes in warbirds.

When I spoke to Jim Campbell last year, he did mention that they are looking for correspondents for warbird-related topics, so if anyone is interested in raising the bar for Aero-News, I'd suggest dropping Jim a line.

Certainly when it comes to breaking warbird news, I always stick to WIX! For print, I go with Warbird Digest! (I buy it in the stores, so they will continue offering it for sale).

Ryan: Unfortunately I believe Campbell has ended up being more of a disservice to GA than a help. Without going into details, to put it very simply, I wouldn't consider him or ANN much more than a cheap imitation of a decent web based news source. I even hesitate to believe anything that I see on the sight unless I see it elsewhere.

Before anyone asks, or points out the reasons behind this, I offer this up...If someone wants more info on this, PLEASE, PLEASE, answer via private email from completely outside and not through the board's pm system, or on the board directly. Scott doesn't need, nor does the board, the associated problems that seem to always come crashing in whenever J.C. is talked about.
