This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Who, through their expertise, humor, knowlege etc., has added the most to the experience for the rest of us? Not just most posts, outrageous lies, etc. ACTUAL VALUE ADDED!!!!
Let the fur begin to fly......
To get the ball rolling, I vote for
Jack Cook. Those photos are awesome.

I'll vote for Gary Austin.
Thank's to him I now see the CAF in a much more positive light.
In addition 2 warbirds I really thought were sorta boring are 2
that I'm am really looking forward to seeing in the air again. The
B-29 with be a prime example of overcoming great obstacles
through skill, determation and looking outside the box in seeing
a less than obvious solution. The B-24 will be a rebirth that I think
is very eagerally anticipated by a very large number of people including myself.
Gary's constant updates are something I've never seen anywhere except here
on the wix board.

I would definitely say Jack Cook with the photos. Absolutely unbelievable stuff that you just don't see in every Warbird book or magazine out there. Plus, he's got the story behind dang near every shot. VERY educational.

I think that there have been so many folks that have helped to contribute to the succes of this boar, but hands down Gary is the one that I think has gone above and beyond with his daily updates on what is going on in Midland. No small feat considering how many ours he is working on the airplanes.

Jack, I love ya man, your photos are nothing short of inspirational... but Gary Austin's contributions have gone above and beyond, bringing us all into the often dirty and time-consuming world of warbird maintenance and restoration with grace, humor, and above all, infinite patience with the barrage of questions about Diamond Lil and Fifi.
Gary, I know it's often just a catchphrase, but you are truly THE MAN.
Merry Christmas to everyone!

If Gary was not doing such an outstanding job with his step by step updates & progress with the B-24, I too would have to go with Jack Cook. I always look forward to Jack's posts, not only for his amazing collection of pics, but his overall knowledge on the subjects he addresses. I gotta give it to Gary, & Jack is a close second.
