They came in both solid or glass noses. The noses are interchangeable.

OK, I stand corrected as to when new but the noses are interchangeable. The Devil Dog N9643C was a J model when new but had a solid nose when the CAF aquired it.

Nope. The G and H models had the solid nose. The J had the bombardier nose.

Cheers!

Must be 44-30243 indeed. The Pendleton site shows the same Doolittle Raiders monument, check www.pendletonairmuseum.org

Does that thing have PBY wheels? Also not sure of the angle there but it looks like it may have some different propeller blades than usual.

Jack, nice old school pic of "Tootsie" in her former life as "The Bat Mobile." I love the gunship Mitchells.

it looks like the props are feathered, but not all the blades are at the same angle.

That thing could have the wheels off the batmobile
It was a real mess when they got it. The trucker delivering
it hit a highway overpass with it :? :!:
For their lack of resourses and experience the Guard guys did
a very good job. Although, they know zippo about proper prop pitch
BTW they're known has the Dustdevils and lost a CH-47 and crew in Afganistan

Can anyone help to improve the map reference for this one in the Locator? ...

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.
