P&W tool list

Sat Nov 03, 2007 12:17 pm

Does anyone know where I could get a list of the P&W tools and what they fit. I am looking for the 1830 engine tools but when you see a tool on Ebay I am not sure if it fits the 1830 or something else.

A list of applicable tools should be in your engine mantenance manual. Also look in Trade-A-Plane, numerous ads for P&W engines, parts, and tooling.
Generally, if it fits a 985, or 1340, it'll also fit an 1830.

Pratt and Whitney did make a master tool list with PWA and TAM numbers listed. It is a good size book with a great cross reference and numerical list. It was in a cool P&W binder and was revised throughout time. I have only seen a few copies show up.

You should try Sun Air Parts in California and ask them if you could buy a copy. I am sure they will have one.

They will also be able to sell you a bunch of the tools you are looking for.

Good luck,
Taigh

Crap, wish I had seen this earlier. I have a fly-away tool kit for the 1830. Its packed away at home in VT. I reside now in TN.
