I am sure we all heard the news that Mustangdriver had is car broken into and many things were stolen. :(

I was wondering should his insurance not cover the losses that maybe we WIX'ers could help "donate" some money for a new camera? :?:

Just a thought.

Cheers,
Nathan

I just had a Garmin GPS stolen from my truck a couple of weeks ago. Right in fromt of my hpuse. My homeowners would have covered it but the deductible for that type of thing is 1% of the value of the house. The vehicle comprehensive wouldn't cover it because it was't a permanently installed factory unit. They have the same rules for a radar detector, I remember that the same policies held true for CB radios and externally mounted tape decks ( you younger WIXers will have NO idea what I'm talking about  ) Sorry to hear of your losses MustangDriver but hearing the amount of your loss your homeowners should be able to give you some relief.

Nathan, I want to thank you very much for your kindness. That is one of the nicest things that anyone has done for me, and we have never even met. It looks like my insurance is going to cover me on all of it. For as much as I had complained about insurance, it looks like I have a great company, as they jumped on it right away, and are giving me not what my stuff is worth, but what it will cost to replace it. Thank you all very much for your kind words that have kept me cheerful during this whole deal. It is nice to know that a guy has friends.

Mustangdriver,
I feel your pain.
Some ASSclown broke into the GCW hangar Friday night.
For once it appears to be a good thing that the place was an unholy mess, because we can't tell if they were able to find whatever it was they were trying to steal.

The pisser is that some folks were taken away from the project to go deal with getting a new door put in.
Likewise I'm sure you spent more time dealing with what you SHOULDNaORTaHADTO... so to speak!
