Went on a Whale Watch and saw a Texan, but ...

I was happy with the day anyway  Just joking, I'd move to Texas but I seem stuck in the Dysfunctional state of NY right now.

But anyway… I was doing some work near the Fulton County Airport this week and decided to bring my camera to get some more shots of the A3D-1 that is on display there. While eating my lunch at the airport I was surprised by the sound of an AT-6. It landed and I quickly went up to see it and get some pictures of it. The pilots were nice enough to allow me to take a few shots (thanks if you read this, if you come to Geneseo next year look for the Tailhook Ales being past around after dinner I’ll be sure to give you a few). They fly out of Amsterdam, NY and have brought one of their aircraft to Geneseo (stupid me forgot to ask what it was besides the supplied Bi-plane information), I assume it might be a PT-17. I guess I’ll have to dig that info up to see what aircraft that really is. It is always nice to get to see an aircraft I have not seen before, it look really nice!

Here are some shots from the day.

Nice pix.
Question: Wasn't the Navy Air Reserve tail code"V" for Navy-Glenview, rather than Mirmar as on the photo??
Thx,
VL
