Maybe I'm not seeing the entire report but, I don't see any references to "Warbird" or "WWII aircraft" or P-51. In fact, it's properly identified.
How does this give warbirds a bad name?

Mudge the curious :?

Mudge, On-Air reports referred to it as a "Vintage" aircraft. The casual observers of this broadcast, who often see P-51's flying off the beaches of sunny Southern California, would probably not know the difference between this one and the real thing.

Hey, that's a pretty cool paint scheme on that Extra.......

Nevermind the vintage word, I get irrated at the word "stunt" and "doing stunts". It's precision flying folks.

Anyhow, it's great to see that they successfully dealt with the engine out problem.

No, no, no! The engine didn't come out, it "stalled." Do you have some kind of reading comprehension problem?

Actually Brandon, I heard from a friend of a friend of a neighbor of a witness's cousin that the engine indeed fell out.....so it must be true. All those "stunts" I do have scrambled my encephalon.

Interesting that this beach landing happened 5 miles from my home and I didn't see anything on the local news!

The picture does NOT have an engine out of it. Gosh, people sure like to stir the pot with BS.

Paul- I can't tell if your serious, or just taking a bite of the double layer comedic relief cake that BDK served up?

That's a pretty broad, and stretching, stroke to make. I say the pilot did a great job getting the airplane down in one piece after having a bad day.

Maybe you should be a bit more sensitive in your comments?
