Hi Julian, nice photo. Did you make it to Sheppard? If you did sorry I missed you! It was a good show despite the wind after most everybody left. I did run into Kevin and helped him reinstall the spare tailwheel/tire mount back in the airplane. PM me your e-mail to send ya couple good captures of the 3.

Beachy,

I have to admit, that in this case, I am just the photographer.

The CFM maintenance crew are the ones who had to put up with an "excess" of Corsairs. (Hydraulics on the "Provenance" visitor, brakes on the CAF Corsair, and fuel tank issues on the CFM Corsair.)

There is a place a couple of miles from my home in Bucks County PA where a guy has a production line building 10 Waco Taperwings. Some with OX-5s and others with the radial. He owned a furniture Co. and used some retired furniture makers to build 10 sets of wings. I guess Waco would deliver the planes with a bigger wing with straight leading edges and also ship the taperwing outer panels to you as well. You fly and get used to the forgiving big wings then switch to the taper wings for high performance. That is what I remember John Desmond saying. He alo has several other aircraft including a Stearman and a Travel Air 2000? It has a tiled commode area in the rear of the fus. to go with the wicker seats.
It was weird to find out about an aircraft plant across the street from my kids ortho.

And for those staff who have had enough production line work for the day, we have "happy hour" in the Sherman tank....................

It's amazing, but even after people are given a verbal warning that it might be loud, and a countdown is given prior to firing, people still get taken by surprise...
