When the fledgling Texas Air Command Museum was blossoming they we acquired hawker Hunter N58HH (ex Swiss J-4097) Tom Delashaw flew the thing from Europe to Texas. I was there the day he came in.

He was a true gentleman that day in Arlington. He sat on the ramp and in the hanger talking about his flight across the pond. Answered all the questions.
Nice guy.

I found these pictures of the day and looked him up.

I had no idea who he was and didn't know until now that he was later killed in a Hunter crash.

Just wanted to pay tribute.
