RIP Clay Smith

Hello, I have bad news. Clay Smith passed away this morning. He was a crew member on PBYs during World War two, owned an Oshkosh winning Stearman and L-6. He is in the Alabama Aviation Hall of Fame, and ran an FBO on Pryor Field. God speed Mr.Clay

Sorry to hear about Clay... I spoke with him several times when I was with the Collings Foundation and he was always so accomodating when we brought the bombers to Decatur. He always drummed up a lot of press for us with his enthusiasm for the planes and the vets.

Another of our heroes has gone west...
