Bare metal, with vestiges of the black remaining around the carb air intake lip.
I'll post a shot up tonight, unless someone else beats me to it.

This a/c is formally #60 of the 318th FS 325th FG and flown by Lt Hall. I have photos of P-51B #60 but not this one. when I last talked to him, john was definite on a 318th FS scheme but couldn't decide between #00 "Double Nuthin" or #66 "Shu Shu".

The prop, nose cone and wing tips still show signs of CF-FUZ. Sure do miss seeing it around Ontario.

Did CF-FUZ's canopy end up on "Sweet Revenge" reg: NL68JR?
It seemed to be the only P51 with a tinted canopy, and I remember Gary's was tinted at the time during the black and white scheme, and now that John Anderson owns it it's clear.

WAY back in the day it was not tinted. Pete Mc Manus and Gary used to winter there mustangs at Tampa Air Center. Pete's mustang had the tinted class. So one day they swapped. When i got my ride in CF-FUZ, it was clear.

Well i wonder, since gary was such a long time owner, I wonder at what price he bought and sold CF-FUZ. I remember not long ago, you could pick one up for $500,000

First time I saw CF-FUZ she was at Harlingen for AirSho. Black with the tinted canopy. What really caught my eye was the long legged blonde who was climbing into the backseat !
