USAF oil cooler ID

Can anyone ID the aircraft type this oil cooler would be from?


The ref number is 26R/10061 DEFFUSION OIL COOLER TYPE A C , REBUILT APRIL 1954 (SIZE 10) PART NUMBER A- 468-53-MD and was made by the United aircraft products company

Without seeing a pic, I'm going to guess Airbus A320. Thats my Final Answer!

I dont have the part it was spoted at a srplus store about 2600 miles from me by a friend. It looks similiar to the oil cooler on a dc3 but the thermostat is different

Peter, perhaps a call to an overhaul facility, such as American Oil Cooler Service (just as an example), would be a good direction for you to go. I reckon someone like them would be the most likely candidates to have manuals or such that could help you identify them.
