Kevin,
Kearney Army Air Field is now Kearney Regional Airport.

The original runway layout is still substantially intact as is the apron, although the apron has been resurfaced in the past few years. Only one hangar from WWII is still standing, the all-metal Weight and Balance hangar (built by Butler for all you farm kids!). Most of the Quartermaster and Air Corps warehouses were still standing the last time we were up there, but these are not in the greatest of condition.
I took these two photos on 26 June 2005 just prior to the hangar dance. LOTS of B-17s went through this hangar just before heading off to the Port of Embarkation. When the B-29 processing started, they weren't able to get the vertical inside due to the construction of this hangar.
