I am planning my road trips to and from the Gathering of Mustangs and Legends at the end of the month. I want to see as many aviation sites along the way as possible. Of course I am using the Locator to do this. For those of you who are not familiar with the Locator, you can find the Ohio entries at...

As you can see the locations of displayed aircraft which are confirmed appear with map links labeled "Exact" and others with a high level of confidence appear as "Eye Sight". These are not the Locations I am concerned with at this point, it is the others labeled "Area" and "Town" for which I would like more details.

Since I won't have time on this trip to tour around looking for displayed aircraft where I am unsure of the locations I will be setting my route and way points depending on the confirmed locations of displayed aircraft. I recently added a number of new locations to the Locator (thanks to books by Michael Blaugher and Andy Marden, see the credits section http://www.aerialvisuals.ca/LocatorCredits.php), but due to poor or old satellite images in Google Earth and other services I have not been able to confirm a number of locations. As a result I am turning to WIX for assistance. Hopefully those of you on WIX familiar with Ohio can help me out.

I am including a list below of sites that I could use some help with. Perhaps you can tell me if the map link is good, or should be moved to another location. To obtain coordinates of locations I recommend Google Earth, but Google Maps works as well, and to read how to do so go to...

Also there is the F-105 at the Zanesville Municipal Airport.
Exit 70 west at the Airport exit, turn left and cross over the interstate. Come to 4 way stop, go stright through and the airport is about a mile out the road.

The Cambridge Airport is easy to get to, just get off like it shows on the map on to 209 and it's 2-3 mile maybe. I didn't know they had a T-33, I might go check it out this weekend.

The AH-1 in Zanesville i'll get you directions so you can get in and out easy.

Lancaster would be easier to get to while your in Columbus, just head south on 33 and it just before you enter town on the left. If you go past the Meijers on the left you went to far.

Mike, keep in mind that if you visit HAS , the museum is only open on Wed and Sat from 9-5. I'm pushing to have someone there all day through the GML weekend, but no word on that yet. Even if the hangar isn't opened, several of the birds are parked outside.

Oh, and be aware that as you head south on 33, when you come to the split DO NOT take 33 or you'll end up on the other side of the city. Take the business route into Lancaster!
