Greetings
I was going through some old CAF AirSho programs and came across the one from 1981 the Year that I joined the CAF and Saw Picture of the first Airplanes that was in the Air when I got off the South West Airliner for Air show 81 . It was the Dragon B-23.
I remember that My heart raced hearing that old Girl Roar by at that time she was asigned to the Cajun Wing I thought that that she was something special and still do to this Day . I was just a mear lad of 19 back then now in my mid fortys I often wonder If I will ever see a B-23 Fly again . Back then it was a BIG Deal to see more than four B-17 Flying togother. Now we might see 10 or 12 someday in the near future flying . then the only B-24 that was flying on a Reg was Diamond Lil and she was a LB-30 (Thanks Gary and CREW ) now we have two (Collins Foundation B-24). FIFI was probably going to be the only B-29 to ever fly Now if Doc can get into a building their will be 2! I guess you see where I am going with this.
I know that this issue has been well hashed out over the past postings.
I know that $$$$ is the root to all progress.
I hope that the B-23 will not become a Side show for somebody to keep in the shade or a perfect inviorment for Critters to set up house. or more target Pratice for some Twister . But Guys without the B-18's B-19 B-23 We would have been so far behind in the devlopmet of such Great Birds as the Fort and the Super Fort and Librators .WW 2 might of been more lop sided than it was ! I hope that my 8 year old son will be able to see a B-23 fly in his life time as I did mine . Is their any grants that could be applied for that a Museum could get to at least start with ? As always thankyou for letting me post and thankyou for all your responces.

Glen, thanks for your nice comments about the B-23. I too would love to see the ole gal take to the air again.
