Great stuff! Thanks for posting!
I love the sunset with the triplanes...or is it dawn?

I really got into aviation via Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome and Cole Palen's shows. It was the first air show I ever attended and I haven't looked back.
I've always longed for my own D-VII and Standard J-1!

Yip all of the Triplanes are 1 to 1 scale and look great in there original Jasta 11 colours.
The colour schemes included both Ricthofen brotheres with Lotars being the yellow aricraft.

As far as I know, all Fokker Dr.I Triplanes either on display or flying today are reproductions or replicas. I think that the last two original Dr.Is were destroyed while in storage in Germany during WWII. At least that was the status as I understood it in the 1980s and 90s while I was still flying my own replical Dr.I which is now on display in the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison, Tx.

the aircraft are being flown at Classic Fighters airshow 2007 at Omaka in New Zealand.
Unfortunately there are no intact DR-1s left as pointed out above the last was in a museum in Germany that was hit by a bombing raid during WW2 as far as I know.
