I'm making the trip from WV to Reno for the races. I happened to stop in at Warhawks today in ID. Heck of a nice place. Got 2X P-40, P-51C, T-28, a replica Triplane, an F-86 ready for paint. They even had the POF F-86 there.

I can say there are some serious changes being made to one of the P-40s that will really make it stand out. I'm not going to tell, but when they announce it and post photos, it will be really cool. I about fell over when I saw it. A real show stopper.

Its up to them to tell when its done, but you heard it here first.

Is this the one they are painting? The P-40N?

I hope they don't touch the P-40E.

Yup, the P-40N. I guess I'm always the last to know. Looks really good so far in masking tape. I'm sure paint is to come soon. I've seen the Skull, the Bear and the Shark's Mouth, but this is going to be different.

I've been too busy to make it out to the Warhawk the last two weeks, so I'm sorta out of the loop about whats going on right now. It is the N thats going to be repainted. They are going to paint new nose art, I know what it is and I will take pictures and upload them when its done. From what I was last told they are not going to repaint the whole thing. They are just going to touch it up.

Jimmy Buffet bought the Pauls' P-40N?!?

Just teasing. Really looking forward to seeing the new paint. Any chance on a Wisconsin excursion in '08?
